Airmen’s and Airwomen’s Memorial Service is held on the nearest Saturday to 19th April annually. This year the service is to be held on the 22nd of April, and likely to be held at Tarakan House, Murrumba Downs. The date 19th of April represents the anniversary of when two RAF Spitfire pilots were killed in an air crash over Youngs Crossing Petrie Queensland on the 19th of April 1944. This meaningful service embraces all who paid the supreme sacrifice in war in an endeavour to keep peace and give us the stability in our country. An award presentation is normally held during the service to an Australian Air Force Cadet.
